United Trade Group Snubs Meeting With TfL Over Daniels Attendance.

It's been alleged that yesterday, the LCDC along with other invited trade organisations who make up the exclusive united trade group (UTG), snubbed the the proposed meeting with TfL's Mike Brown under the new Mayor.

Reason being, the TfL commissioner allegedly insisted that Leon Daniels be present.

Below is the response from TfL's Mike Brown, in regards to the trade's snub.

Sadiq Khan who has been heavily lobbied by most of the taxi organisations, and other close and trusted trade supporters, is well versed of the problems within London's taxi industry. It is believed that once he has his feet under the table and fairly reviewed the structure and processes of the trade that changes will be introduced.

Simple message to Mr Brown.

DANIELS MUST GO?

We have no faith in him whatsoever, recent correspondence and his statements to the GLA have destroyed any credibility, if you are serious about engaging with us, meet all the trade orgs and don't hide behind the discredited engagement policy.

If you don't then your letter is empty words.

Note the line which reads 'We have a new Mayor and we will deliver for him as we have done for his predecessors.'

If that is true then we may as well give up now.

first of all i wonder why TFL have not suspended all the vauxhall safiras thet have had a record of fire damage, as we all know TFL suspended all the TX4 that were in the same potition, and refused to relicense them until they had a complete update. this is the coruption at TFL,

Anonymous 5.22PM :the reason that the Vauxhall Zarfiis have not been recalled is because they have ON/OFF fire extinguishers, according to LEROY!

Why does Mike Brown think that the very people that have driven us to the brink of extinction, are the saviours we should trust now...?
It's like inviting an arsonist to come and put the fire out.

And why on earth is any public official on £270k a year, ( especially this one ) no wonder they issue so many phv licences, they gotta pay Daniels his dough. They should pay him exactly what he's worth.... £0.00

On the subject of Bus Lanes. If I recall correctly, the over-riding rule was that since only Taxi's were allowed to pick up off the street, PHV access to bus lanes was denied. But now, since PHV are picking up everywhere and are allowed to, since they have immediate hire long term short term pre-booking. Maybe it is time to deregulate and let them in? Since it is what the public wants. Also there seems no enforcement of double/single red/yellow lines any more.Lets get rid of them too. Oh the irony of the truth...!!!!

I've got a great idea, lets all join a trade org and give them between £15 and £20 a month in return for stupid ideas that they want even more donations for.
You know it makes sense!
